Description | The Town of Bridgewater is accepting bids for the Gen Oak Connector, which is the construction of a shared-use path and sidewalk between Generations Park and Oakdale Park in the Town of Bridgewater. The Gen-Oak Connector is the construction of a shared-use path and sidewalk between Generations Park and Oakdale Park in the Town of Bridgewater. Gen-Oak consists of a new sidewalk starting at Generations Park along North Liberty Street continuing to a new crosswalk at the intersection of Mt. Crawford Avenue and North Liberty Street, a new sidewalk east along Mt. Crawford Avenue and connecting to a new shared-use path through and terminating in Oakdale Park. Gen-Oak also installs a crosswalk near the entrance of Oakdale Park at the intersection of Mt. Crawford Avenue and Naomi Lane. The total length of the Gen-Oak Connector is approximately 1,100 feet. Bids shall be accompanied by a 5% bid security. Bid bond must be in the form of a cashier's check, certified check, or a bid bond issued by a surety.Bid security in the amount stated in the Invitation to Bid must accompany each bid. The successful bidder's security will not be returned until he has signed the Contract and has furnished the required Certificates of Insurance. The Owner reserves the right to retain the security of all bidders until the successful bidder enters into the Contract or until 90 days after bid opening, whichever is sooner. If any bidder refuses to enter into a Contract, the bid security may be forfeited. Prior to signing the Contract, the Owner will require the successful bidder to secure and post a Labor and Materials Payment Bond and a Performance Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Sum. Such Bonds shall be issued by a Surety acceptable to the Owner Questions about the project will be received until February 20, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. |
