RFQ Contractor - Roof Restoration at the Twin Oaks Morris Museum

The Morris Museum seeks experienced Historic Restoration General Contractors who specialize in restoration of slate roofing, copper built-in gutters and flashings, brick masonry, finish carpentry and windows, and surface preparation and surface preparation and painting of historic finish carpentry to submit prequalification statements for the: ROOF RESTORATION AT THE TWIN OAKS MORRIS MUSEUM 6 Normandy Road, Morris Township, Morris County, New Jersey 07960 The project generally consists of the following: 1. Restoration of slate roof; 2. Installation of flashing and roof drainage; 3. Masonry repointing; 4. Finish carpentry repairs of historic elements; 5. Repairs to dormer window; 6. Rebuilding of wood balustrade; 7. Surface preparation and finish painting of historic finish carpentry. This property is listed on the New Jersey and National Registers of the Historic Places. All prospective bidders must demonstrate experience in the successful completion of projects of a similar scope and nature that followed the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties (Revised 1995) performed to the satisfaction of the Owner.
