McAlister Hall 2021 Renovation

Scope: McAlister Hall is an existing 6-story building which contains approximately 152,144sf of conditioned space and was constructed in 2002. t is located on the College of Charleston campus in Charleston, SC. It is adjacent to two city streets and a rear parking, delivery, and fire lane. The main entrance is along a pedestrian way. A food service tenant is located in the building and will remain open during construction; it is served by a separate entry than the residence hall. This project will entail exterior renovation, interior renovations, mechanical system replacement, fire alarm upgrades, limited structural repairs, limited electrical upgrades, elevator improvements, and potentially enclosing stair and elevator areas. The exterior renovation is being performed to correct envelope issues with existing elements such as stucco, concrete, stair pans, windows, roofing, railings, and doors. Interior renovations will address finishes and fixtures. Structural and framing elements will be addressed as necessary.
