Description | Scope of Work 1. The Contractor shall supply the necessary equipment, materials, and personnel to apply herbicides at City owned facilities or within public right of ways or easements. A 'Facility List' (page 20) is included with this document. The types of facilities may include, but are not limited to: rip-rap spillways, bio-retention facilities, constructed wetlands, and flood control structures. 2. The Contractor will provide unit prices for equipment and materials. 3. The Contractor shall ensure that all personnel designated to open, pour, mix or apply any pesticide shall be a Registered Technician working under the supervision of an individual possessing a current Commercial Pesticide Applicator Certification valid for Category 6 (Right of Way Pest Control) issued by VDACS. The Contractor shall provide, prior to award, a photocopy of the Pesticide Applicator Certificate for each individual that will perform work under this contract. 4. The Contractor shall at a minimum have relevant, documented experience of developing and following a management plan, including but not limited to applying herbicides for a government entity. 5. The contractor shall have the ability to distinguish between a target and non-target species of vegetation as directed by the Stormwater Program Manager or her designee. 6. Services shall be scheduled in advance with the Stormwater Program Manager or her designee. 7. The contractor shall check in with the Stormwater Program Manager or her designee before proceeding onto school property or the Public Works Operations Facility (WWTP Bio-filter). 08/17/2022 5:00 PM Deadline to submit Questions 08/22/2022 5:00 PM Addendum - Answers to Questions issued, if needed All Proposals shall be in a sealed envelope and clearly marked in the lower left corner: "RFP - MS4 - Pesticide Spraying". Proposals sent by U.S. Mail or other carrier that requires the use of a proprietary mailing envelope shall be in a sealed envelope INSIDE the proprietary mailing envelope. The return address area of the sealed envelope should contain the legal company name, name of company contact, and complete mailing address of the Offeror Any proposal received after this time and date will not be considered. The Offeror has the sole responsibility to have the proposal received by the Waynesboro City Purchasing Department at the above address and by the above stated time and date. The City of Waynesboro is not responsible for delays in the delivery of the mail by the U.S. Postal Service, private couriers, or the inter-office mail system. |
