RFP D/B - Design/Build Services for the Replacement of Babylon and Hillside Motor Generators

The Hillside and Babylon Motor Generators (MGs)provides electrical power to LIRR's Signal System which is essential for train movement and LIRR operations. Following an evaluation of the LIRR's signal system, it was determined that these MGs are beyond their useful life and can no longer be maintained. Replacement of these MGs is critical to the LIRR's ever changing and growing demands due to expansion projects, new fleets and increasing services. The Contractor shall provide all services required to complete the Final Design and the furnishing and installation of all design, labor, materials, plant, equipment, tools, supervision, testing, facilities, and other incidentals required by the Contract and the performance of all duties and obligations imposed to complete the Work identified in the Contract Documents.
