Description

LOCATION: Springfield State Office Building, 436 Dwight Street, Springfield, MA 01103; Springfield Data Center, 53 Elliot Street, Springfield, MA 01105 The Contractor is responsible for equipment, transportation and satisfactorily managing, supervising, and performing effective Solid Waste & Recycling Services at the Springfield State Office Building, Springfield, MA, and the Springfield Data Center, Springfield, MA, in accordance with executive order 403 of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and with all requirements of the Operational Services Division FAC86 contract. WASTE REMOVAL SCOPE Provide, maintain, pick-up and empty containers as scheduled. Provide additional pick-ups as requested by the Facilities Manager, or designee. Provide recycling services. (See Recycling below) Monthly reporting itemizing Waste and Recycling tonnage broken down by each following category: Waste (non-recyclables) Plastic Aluminum Glass Paper (including cardboard, newspaper, magazines etc.) RECYCLING SERVICES Provide and maintain containers for recycling collection for the buildings. Containers to be picked up on a scheduled basis from the buildings. Paper materials to be recycled include but are not limited to copy paper, colored paper, computer paper, fax paper, magazines, newspapers, and cardboards. Comingle materials to be recycled include plastic, aluminum, and glass.
