Description | This project consists of widening and reconstruction of Partin Settlement Road, including intersection improvements. The Partin Settlement Road project will widen and reconstruct the existing two-lane flush shoulder section to a four-lane raised median divided roadway with multi-modal accommodations from Neptune Road to Lakeshore Boulevard, a distance of approximately 2.7 miles. The project will include stormwater ponds, new or reconstructed signalized intersections at; Neptune Road, Cross Prairie Parkway, SR 500 (US 192/Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway), Remington Boulevard, and Lakeshore Boulevard, ITS infrastructure, UWHC goes-with plans for TOHO Water Authority facilities and extending the existing bridge culvert at the Partin/Fish Lake Canal. The bridge over SR 91 (Florida's Turnpike) will be concurrently reconstructed by others and those limits will be an exception to this project. All pedestrian facilities shall adhere to current ADA standards. Contractor Pre-Qualification: A. The prime Contractor shall be Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Prequalified per Chapter 337.14 F.S. and Rule 14-22 F.A.C. in the following Work Classes: 7. Drainage (includes all storm drains, pipe culverts, culverts, etc.) 10. Flexible Paving (includes limerock, shell base and other optional base courses, soil-cement base) 11. Grading (includes clearing and grubbing, excavation, and embankment) B. The prime Contractor or their sub-contractors shall be FDOT Prequalified per Chapter 337.14 F.S. and Rule 14-22 F.A.C. in the following work classes: 9. Fencing 12. Grassing, Seeding and Sodding 13. Guardrail 16. Intelligent Transportation Systems Contractor Additional Experience 27. Minor Bridges that contain span lengths not exceeding 50 feet (center to center of cap) and total length not exceeding 300 feet. A Minor Bridge shall not contain any type of construction listed under Major Bridges or Intermediate Bridges 28. Pavement Marking (includes delineators, traffic stripe painting, and thermoplastics). 38. Roadway Signing 39. Traffic Signal 40. Sidewalk Governing Standards and Specifications: FY 2022-2023 Design Standard Plans and FDOT Standard Specifications dated July 2022 A BID BOND IS REQUIRED FOR THIS PROJECT. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security equaling 5% of the total bid. The bid security may be submitted in the form of a standard form bid bond from a surety licensed to do business in Florida and with a Best's or equivalent rating of A+ or more, or by a certified check, or a cashier's check. Failure to submit the bid security will result in the disqualification of your bid. Failure to submit bid security in the form of a bid bond may be used by the County as an indicator of financial non-responsibility. The terms of the bid security shall be that either the bidder will enter into the contract if awarded to the bidder, or the surety (or alternate form of security forfeit) will be responsible for the costs resulting from the failure of the bidder to enter into the contract including the increased costs associated with taking the next lowest responsive, responsible bidder and costs associated with conducting the bid and letting the contract. Questions regarding this bid must be received through written email or faxed inquiries directed to the designated Procurement Services Representative. Questions of sufficient general interest will be formatted by the Procurement Services Office and issued to all interested parties in the form of an addendum.
