Description

The contract shall be Single Prime. Bids will be for the furnishing of all labor and materials, including all equipment required, as detailed in the technical specifications, construction drawings, and summary of work contained herein. Any changes to the specifications or summary of work or clarifications to the bidding documents will be made in the form of an Addendum hereto and will be supplied to all prospective bidders and posted on the Countys website. Bidders will be responsible for ensuring that they have all addenda. Each bid must be made on the forms provided. Brunswick County will not be responsible for the failure of any mail or delivery service to deliver a bid. Regardless of the manner of submission, bids received after the aforementioned date and time, incomplete bids, or bids not submitted at the correct location or in the designated manner will not be accepted. A general description of the work includes: supplying, installation, startup, and related work for a new 0.75 million gallon per day water reclamation facility and associated piping, site work, influent force main from US 17 to Shallotte WWTP, from Shallotte WWTP to new WRF, and from WRF to disposal areas, three high-rate infiltration basins with groundwater lowering drains, and 11.18-acre spray application field. Brunswick County reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals. A 5% bid bond or deposit and performance and payment bonds are required as more fully set forth in the Notice to Bidders. Contractors must be properly licensed. Additional instructions to bidders are included in the Contract Documents. All questions or comments shall be submitted in writing to Steve Gerlach, PE, at sgerlach@wkdickson.com by 4:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday, October 12, 2022. A copy of all questions, further clarifications, and answers will be made in the form of an addendum and will be provided to all known interested bidders and posted on the Countys website. Bidders are responsible for ensuring they have all addenda.
