| Description | The work generally consists of Removing the existing slate roof down to the lath strips, replacing any broken/rotted lath, reline the built-in box gutters with new 36" wide sheets of lead coated copper, fabricated to match specifications, install new copper drain tubes and solder all seams. The new cedar roof shall consist of new 18" Perfection, Red Western Cedar Roof Shingles at 5-1/2" exposure, or approved equal. Also, new cedar ridge caps shall be installed. All nails used are to be stainless steel. The work will also include resetting all chimney flashings, and installation of new copper step flashings as needed. |
