Route 100 Multi-Modal Trail Exton Train Station to Chester Valley Trail and Signal Upgrades and Crossing Improvements

This project is the combination of two projects: 1. The Rt. 100 Multi-Modal Trail – Exton Train Station to Chester Valley Trail which is for the construction of a multi-use path from the Exton Train Station parking lot to the Chester Valley Trail at Commerce Drive, and 2. Signal Upgrades and Crossing Improvements to the Chester Valley Trail which is for the construction of the fourth and final crosswalk across Rt. 100 (Pottstown Pike) to allow trail users to cross the intersection via one crosswalk rather than three crosswalks. This portion is included as a Bid- Alt. The Signal Upgrades project is contiguous with and overlaps the northern portion of the Rt. 100 Multi-modal Trail project. Major components of work include: 1. Construction of concrete multi-use trail with ADA compliant curb ramps 2. Construction of asphalt multi-use trail with ADA compliant curb ramps 3. Traffic signal modifications 4. Modification/reconstruction of islands 5. Drainage modifications 6. Re-establishing landscaping 7. Re-establishing irrigation system 8. Design and installation of lighting 9. Site restoration 10. Temporary traffic control
