Description | The Weston County Fire Protection District is requesting bids for a metal roof replacement/retrofit using a commercial roofing membrane for the Newcastle Fire Hall. Pursuant to W.S. 16-6-106, preference is hereby given to materials, supplies, agricultural products, equipment, machinery and provisions produced, manufactured or grown in Wyoming, or supplied by a resident of the state, quality being equal to articles offered by the competitors outside of the state. The scope of work will include: Provide and install minimum of 1.5 flute filler (R-6 value) over existing metal roof. Provide and install minimum of 1.5 rigid insulation (R-8.5 value) and mechanically attach to existing metal roof. Provide and install minimum 60 mil commercial roofing membrane and mechanically fasten through metal roof into every roof purlin at 12 on center using retrodrillers and plates. Provide and install 2x6 wood nails at roof edges to match insulation height. Provide all necessary flashings to pipes and roof edges. Provide and install 24 ga membrane coated metal at all roof edges and weld into roof system. Provide and install 24 ga membrane coated snow guard above all walk in doors. Remove existing gutter and properly dispose of. Downspouts to remain. Provide and install new 24 ga pre-finished 6 seamless gutter and fascia trim behind gutter. Provide and install 2 new anchor points for guide wires. Roof to be inspected and approved by company representative upon completion. Inspection report to be provided to owner stating the roof has been approved for the manufacturers warranty and include warranty details. The bid must include all permits required, as building is located inside New- castle city limits. o Additional items to bid separately as options: Provide and install DensDeck (or comparable material) under membrane to increase hail resistance. Provide and install 24 ga membrane clad snow guards and necessary wood nailer for garage doors (approx. 124 linft). Once notified, the successful bidder must promptly complete and sign a contract with the Fire District for the bid price and include the estimated completion date of the project. The Fire District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to negotiate separately with competing bidders and to waive any informalities, defects, or irregularities in any bid, or to accept that bid, which in the judgment of the Board, would best serve the public interest. |
