Replace Visitor Center EPDM Roof

Arkansas Post National Memorial, located in Gillett, Arkansas, has a requirement to replace an EPDM roof. This acquisition is being conducted as a total small business set aside under NAICS code 238160, Roofing Contractors. The magnitude of construction is between $100,000 and $250,000. Refer to section L of the solicitation for information regarding a site visit and for quote submittal requirements. All quotes must include a bid bond. The selected contractor must provide a performance bond and a payment bond. All questions about this solicitation shall be submitted no later than June 19, 2023. Work consists of: Remove the existing roof, coverboard and insulation which is approximately 6,950 SF, (see building dimensions below) down to the existing concrete deck. Install approximately 6950 SF of insulation, 1/2 " coverboard and .60 mil white roof membrane which slopes 1/8" per foot toward drains. This includes crickets called out on Previous Design Drawings (below) in same direction as existing flowing to scuppers. Install crickets as shown on previous roof replacement drawings. Contractor will need to raise the four previous skylight locations (see photos) up to the existing concrete deck to prevent low spots and water ponding. Replace approximately 330 feet of parapet cap, all flashing and vent boots according to SMACNA standards, color to match existing conductor head and downspouts which are to remain. Color of parapet cap and other flashings to match the existing conductor and downspout. Contractor to adhere to all notes on Previous Roof Design Drawings attached relevant to this full roof replacement as far as insulation thicknesses, scupper, connections, parapet cap details, flashing details, fasteners, and cricket sizes and locations. This is a request for quotations for construction prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 13 and Part 36, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation issued as Request for Quotation (RFQ) 140P6223Q0015.
