Description | Replace the hardwood flooring in the upper Town Hall as well as sand and refinish several flights of stairs and the performance stage located at 703 Washington Street, Holliston, MA 01746. The existing 2 1/4" solid Maple hardwood flooring is approximately 100 years old and has been sanded and refinished several times. The approximate 3,200 square feet Grand Hall requires the old flooring removed and the subfloor repaired, covered and leveled. New 2 1/4" solid Maple wood flooring is to be installed with a factory applied semi-gloss clear finish. The approximate 280 square feet Entry Hall requires the old flooring removed and subfloor repaired, covered and leveled. New solid 2 1/4" solid Maple wood flooring is to be installed with a factory applied semi-gloss clear finish. The existing 2 1/4" solid Maple hardwood floor, approximately 560 square feet, on the performance stage requires sanding to remove the old finish. Some minor repairs and patching will need to be done before a commercial grade semi-gloss clear finish is applied. Usable floor boards removed from the Grand Hall should be used for the repairs on the performance stage. The backstage stair treads require sanding to remove the old finish. A commercial grade semi-gloss clear finish is to be applied to the treads. There are a total of 10 stair treads approximately 4 feet wide. There is also a small section of 2 1/4" solid Maple hardwood flooring at the stair landing that needs to be sanded and refinished. The main staircase from the first floor to the second floor needs the treads sanded and a commercial grade semi-gloss clear finish applied. There are 16 treads that are 9 feet wide. At the bottom of these stairs is a 60 square foot land. |
