Description | The City of Parkland, Florida is seeking to obtain bids from qualified, licensed contractors, for the Equestrian Center Upgrades in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications contained in this solicitation document. This project was originally bid last year; however, all bids were rejected due to all being over budget. The project has been re-design to be valued engineered, reducing the scope to only removing the existing sand footing and stabilizing the subgrade, also the sand material design has been changed to not include the fiber mix. Question Deadline: Tue Jan 17, 2023 5:00:00 PM (EST) Recommendation for Award First available City Commission meeting Interested bidders may visit the project site during regular park hours which are Monday through Friday, 7 AM - 10 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 7 AM - 9 PM. The City will not be held responsible for an incorrect price proposal due to Proposer's misunderstanding of requirements, measurements, or services required. This information session presents an opportunity for the Bidders to ask questions regarding the solicitation requirements and clarify any information about the scope of work. No modification or changes will be allowed because of the failure of the Proposer to review all available information or attend the pre-submittal conference. A scan or copy of the original Bid Bond must be submitted with your Proposal. However, the original (raised seal/thicker stock) paper must be received by U.S. Mail, air, ground courier services, by messenger service; or in person to the address shown below BEFORE the due date of the RFP outlined above. Failure to provide the original Bid Bond prior to the Proposal opening WILL result in your Proposal being deemed non-responsive. ITB # - Project Name Attn: Purchasing Department 6600 University Drive Parkland, FL 33067 a) Each Proposal must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or by a Bid Bond made payable to the City of Parkland on an approved form, duly executed by the Proposer as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company acceptable to the City and authorized to write such Bid Bond under the laws of the State of Florida, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Base price (including any allowances) exclusive of any proposal alternates. The City reserves the right to reject any and all security tendered to the City. b) The bid bond of the Proposer will be retained until such Proposer has executed the Contract and furnished the required payment and performance bonds, whereupon the bid bond will be returned. If the Successful Proposer fails to execute and deliver the Contract, provide proof of the required insurance coverage(s) and furnish the required payment and performance Bonds (if applicable) within seven (7) business days of the Notice of Award, City may annul the Notice of Award and the entire sum of the bid bond shall be forfeited. Bid bond will be returned to unsuccessful Proposer upon execution of a Contract with the Successful Proposer. The attorney in fact or other officer who signs a Bid Bond for a surety company must file with such a Bond a certified copy of his power of attorney authorizing him to do so. c) The bid bond filed with the Proposal shall be forfeited in its entirety to the City as liquidated damages if the Proposer to whom the Contract is awarded fails to execute the Contract Documents within seven (7) business days of the Contract Award. d) Once the notice to award has been issued, those firms that are not recommended for award must notify the City, within seven (7) business days of the Notice, if the firm wants the original bid bond returned. If a firm wants the bid bond returned, the firm must pick it up from the City. |
