Water Treatment Plant Roof Replacement

The Town of Lincoln Water Department is soliciting bids for the replacement of the Town's Water Treatment Plant Roof. The Contractor must be experienced in shingle and membrane roof installation and have a minimum of five years of experience with successfully complete work described in this Section. The on-site person supervising the work of this Section (i.e., supervisor/crew chief/foreman) and workers installing the roof shall be personally experienced and familiar with shingle and membrane roof installation. All bids shall be accompanied by a list of at least five references from similar projects over the past 5 years. At least 3 of those references should be from municipal or state agencies. Bid Deposit - all bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a bid bond, or cash, or a certified check on, or a treasurer's or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company, payable to the Town of Lincoln. The amount of such bid deposit shall be five percent of the total value of the bid. Payment Bond - If selected as contractor, the vendor will, within ten days (Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded), following notification of selection, provide a payment bond, from a surety company qualified to do business under the laws of the Commonwealth and satisfactory to the awarding authority, in the sum of fifty percent of the contract price, the premiums for which are to be paid by the contractor and are included in the contract price. The Town reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids if deemed in the Town's best interest to do so, or to waive any informalities. MBE/WBE firms encouraged to apply.
