The cutoff date for questions is 5:00 pm on Tuesday, January 29, 2024. This contract issubject to utilization goals and requirementsfor participation of certified Minority Business Enterprises(MBE). The utilization requirement for certified African AmericanOwned Business Enterprises is 6% of the total contractsum. The overall utilization goal for Minority-Owned Business Enterprisesis 15% and for Women-Owned Business Enterprises is 15%. Include with the submitted bid, a ten (10%) percent bid bond or a certified check made payable to the City of Bridgeport with its bid submission if the bid is $50,000.00 or more, except for bids from MBE's, for which a bid bond is required on bids that are $100,000 or more. The successful bidder, prior to permission to proceed, will be required to post a payment bond of 100% of the contract price if the contract price is in excess of $100,000, and a performance bond for 100% of the contract price, if the bid is $50,000.00, or more except that performance bondsfrom MBE's will only be required on projects that are $100,000.00 or more.
