Description | 1. The Project and Work for the Project consists of all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary for construction of the project identified as Demolition and installation of one steam boiler at the Civic Center Project, all in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications prepared by the Engineer and/or Owner. The Project must be substantially complete by the Date for Substantial Completion set forth in Section Q below. 2. The Mayor has determined that a Project Labor Agreement will advance the Citys procurement interest in cost, efficiency, and quality while promoting labor-management stability as well as compliance with applicable legal requirements governing safety and health, equal employment opportunity, labor and employment standards, and other related matters. Any such PLA shall be negotiated by the Mayor of the Owner with the East Central Ohio Building and Construction Trades Council and its affiliated local unions, or said Councils successor. The successful Bidder shall comply with and adhere to all of the provisions of any PLA for the Project. The successful Bidder, who, as a Bid Guaranty, submits a certified check, cashiers check, or irrevocable letter of credit in an amount equal to 10% of the bid, shall furnish a Contract Bond in the form included in the Contract Documents in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Sum. NOTE: AIA or EJCDC Bond forms are not acceptable. Bid Bond or Payment and Performance Bond forms are not acceptable for this Project. All bids must include a Bid Guaranty, as described in the Instructions to Bidders. Prevailing wage rates apply. All bidders will be required to comply with the City Contract Compliance Program regarding equal employment opportunity. After submission and opening, no bidder may withdraw its bid within 60 days after the opening; the City reserves the right to waive irregularities, reject any or all bids, and conduct necessary investigations to determine bidder responsibility. DATE OF SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION. The Project and Work for the Project consists of all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary for construction of the Project, all in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications prepared by the Owner or Engineer. The Contractor shall achieve Substantial Completion of its Work on the Project, as defined in the General Conditions, within 90 calendar days of the Date of Commencement ("Date of Substantial Completion"), no later than 12/25/2022. DATE OF FINAL COMPLETION. The Contractor shall achieve Final Completion of its Work on the Project, as defined in the General Conditions, within 30 calendar days of the Date of Substantial Completion ("Date of Final Completion"). |
