Description | Bids are invited for items and quantities of work as follows: 1.125 KW Diesel Generator, concrete pad, automatic transfer switch, including associated conduit, electrical, installation and appurtenances. Contractors interested in submitting bids may contact the City's Public Works Supervisor, Joey Rickman at 903-304-9312 to schedule a visit or inquire for more information. Emails with questions or to request the bid packet may be sent to Lhoward@publicmgt.com. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as associated with the ARPA-CLFRF and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin. The City of Savoy reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. The City Council may award the bid that presents the best value for the City pursuant to Gov't Code Section 2269.055 using the criteria set forth herein. In determining best value for the City, the City Council shall consider: (1) the price; (2) the reputation and experience of the contractor; (3) the quality of the contractor's services; (4) the impact on the ability of the City to comply with rules relating to historically underutilized businesses; (5) the contractor's safety record; (6) the contractor's proposed personnel (7) whether the contractor's financial capability is appropriate to the size and scope of the project; and (8) the contractor's past relationship with the City. Bids may be held by the City of Savoy for a period not to exceed 30 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award.
