Description | The Work is described in general, non-inclusive terms as: 1. Demolition of the north end of the 48-inch pipeline segment which serves as the High Service Pump Station (HSPS) suction header at the Park Cities Water Treatment Plant (WTP). This includes a 48-inch 90-degree bend and a 48-inch dish head flange. 2. Demolition of the 48-inch gate valve along with the associated actuator and control panel (which are located on the main floor of the Treated Water Pump Station). 3. Installation of new 48-inch blind flanges at the end connections created by this demolition work. Both blind flanges shall be outfitted with a 4-inch drain line. 4. Surface preparation and installation of an exterior carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) composite system to provide structural reinforcement and integrity for sections of the 48-inch Suction Header pipe and associated fittings (i.e., four [4] high service pump [HSP] lateral connections and one 48-inch tee). 5. Surface cleaning and recoating of the 36-inch High Pressure Main and appurtenant items that are located within the limits of the pipe trench. |
