Description | **As of June 14, 2023, This project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The work to be performed includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the work as shown on the drawings and described in the specifications. The work in this contract includes, as a Base Bid, the renovation of the main pool (250,000 gal) which entails constructing repairs to portions of the concrete walls, new plaster and tiling, and resurfacing of the walk-in steps. An alternate bid consists of a complete reconstruction of the pool within the current footprint. The reconstructed pool option includes the construction of a zero-entry area with spray features, installation of new diving boards and resetting of existing slide equipment. Both the Base Bid and the Alternate Bid include constructing depth markers, racing lanes, end wall targets, waterline, acuity lines, and warning line within the pool footprint. Work also includes furnishing and installing racing lane dividers, divider reel, safety rope, rails, winter cover, handicapped lift, lifeguard chairs, backstroke flags and stations; and start-up and balancing of the operating systems and other incidental work for a fully-functioning facility. The schedule for the work awarded to the successful bidder will start at the end of the 2023 season (September 2023), with a required completion date of May 1, 2024. Bid must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety and a Certified Check, Cashiers Check or Bid Bond of not less than ten percent of the amount bid, and not to exceed $20,000.00. Bids may be submitted by mail, but will be considered only if received on or before such date and time. State of New Jersey Labor prevailing wage regulations and standards provisions will apply. Attention is called to the fact that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their age, race, creed, color, national origin, ancestry, marital status, affectional or sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, nationality or sex. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27, and PL 1977, c.33. Bidders are required to comply with the New Jersey Business Registration Certificate Law, P.L. 2004, c. 57. Bidders are required to comply with the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, P.L. 1999, c. 238. The Borough reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive immaterial informalities, and/or to accept the bid which, in the opinion of the Borough, will be in the best interest of the Borough, all in accordance with the New Jersey Public Contract Law N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et. seq. Each bid must be made on the prescribed forms furnished with the Contract Drawings and Specifications, including Proposal Form, Schedule of Prices, Bid Bond Guarantee, Site Inspection Affidavit, Acknowledgment of Receipt of Changes to Bid Documents, Stockholder Statement of Ownership, Non-Collusion Affidavit, Consent to Investigation, Bidder's Qualification Form, NJ Business Registration Certificate, Public Works Contractor Registration Certificate, List of Subcontractors, Plan and Equipment Questionnaire, Disclosure of Investment Activities in Iran, and Bid Opening Checklist. |
