Description | After AFFF went off in hangar spaces, the substance got under the floors causing them to freeze and the water expanded, causing floors to burst. Main Passageways including entrances and accesses of Hangar SP-36 require removal and replacement of epoxy coating. 2.1 Remove 1278 sq. ft. of epoxy coated vinyl tile in the main passage ways. All out-coves along the sides of the passageways shall also be removed. 2.2 Remove approximately 489ft of 4" coving. 2.3 Remove all mastic from 1278 sq. ft. of floor. This will generate a small amount of dust but no toxic and/or explosive fumes. Prep surface to be a smooth profile grit of 80 to100. Sweep and vacuum clean. 2.4 Apply one coat of Tennant Multi-Purpose epoxy (ECO-MPE) pigmented with Tennant regal blue. While the epoxy is still wet broadcast paint chips (white and red) into the floor to match the current floor. Tennant Multi-Surface Epoxy. 2.5 Apply one coat of clear/non-pigmented top coat of Tennant High Performance Systems (CEO-HPS). 2.6 Install 489 feet of new black 4" cove molding. | ||
