Description

THIS PROJECT IS ON BEHALF OF THE PORT OF SEATTLE AND THE NORTHWEST SEAPORT ALLIANCE, invites the submittal of Statement of Qualifications (SOQs) from firms, or teams of firms, interested in providing Design Build services for the T46 Substation 1 Replacement at Terminal 46, located at 401 Alaskan Way, Seattle, WA 98104. Question Deadline 7/14/2022 Replace Terminal 46 Substation No.1 located at the north end of the terminal. Provide an equipment pad and fence for the new Seattle City Light (SCL) transformer, per SCL standards. Coordinate with SCL for service reconnection via the new transformer and provide a metering section in the new Substation No. 1 per SCL standards. Installation of new Substation No.1 per basis of design, Port design standards, and National Electrical Code to minimize interruption of power and the need for temporary power at Terminal 46. The new Substation No.1 shall be installed prior to demolition of the existing one. The following bullet points provide some guidance on anticipated scopes of work that may be required on this project: o Electrical o Excavation and Trenching o Concrete Pouring o Asphalt paving patching o Steel reinforcement rebar The Port of Seattle is not responsible for any costs incurred in response to this solicitation.
