Description | The proposed construction consists of furnishing all materials and equipment and performing all labor necessary to complete the Intersection Improvements, Margie Drive @ Osigian Blvd. (project roadway length is 0.16 miles). Work includes grading, curbing, and striping. All work will be in accordance with the Georgia Department of Transportation standard specifications and supplemental specifications (latest edition), the Georgia Manual for Erosion and Sediment Control (latest edition), and Houston County. Prequalification of Bidder: All potential bidders must hold a current Georgia Department of Transportation Certificate of Qualification. The proposed construction will be awarded in one contract. Bonds: All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the Total Base Bid. Performance and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract amount, will be required of the successful bidder. Bonds must be written by an acceptable Surety Company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia and listed in the Department of Treasury, Circular 570, latest edition. Permits: The successful bidder shall secure and pay for all permits, assessments, charges or fees required in connection with the proposed construction. Right of Way / Easements: All anticipated rights of way and easements required for the project have been obtained or will be obtained prior to the bid opening. Houston County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities or technicalities or to readvertise as appropriate. |
