Barnette Energy - DMLR Bond Forfeiture Project

The purpose of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is for the Commonwealth of Virginia, Department of Energy / Abandoned Mine Land Repurposing Program to obtain sealed bids for reclamation/reconstruction work as described within the special terms and conditions & technical specifications, and plans and drawings for the project. In summary, the Scope of Work shall consist of mobilization of the contractor's workforce and equipment, construction site preparation, upgrade and/or construction of access roads, clearing and grubbing of vegetation, installation of sediment and erosion controls, installation of temporary drainage controls, removal of coal stockpiles, excavation of an estimated 60,500 cubic yards of material, structure demolition and removal, removal and reclamation of 11 sediment pond structures, closure and sealing of existing piezometers and ground water monitoring points, revegetation, cleanup and repair of damage to the project site from construction activity, and demobilization of the contractor's workforce and equipment. The contractor will follow guidelines for providing quality control of materials, maintain fugitive dust controls, and adhere to safety precautions for ensuring the safety of the public and workforce during all construction activity on the project.
