Description City of Charlotte, currently utilizes multiple Companies for bypass pumping. These services includes providing pumps and equipment for gravity sewer collection system/sewage, lift stations and dewatering of large excavation areas and various Process Units at the Water Treatment and Wastewater Treatment Plants on an as- needed basis. Stationary bypass pumping is needed at plant locations and mobile bypass pumping is needed for field service orders. Currently, the largest gravity line is 96 inches in diameter. Typical size for gravity line pipes in the field is 8-24 inches.
