Description | Bidder is responsible for ensuring receipt of bid package before deadline, late submittals will not be accepted. No digital submissions via email or U3P will be accepted. The City of South Salt Lake reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality or technicality, and to make reductions in or expand the scope of work in any bid if deemed to be in the best interest of the City. The scope of work includes the equipment, materials, services, and appurtenances thereto as included in the contract documents for the construction of tenant improvements for an office space, classroom space, restrooms, and kitchen inside the Historic Scott School - Redwood building located at 3280 S. 540 E., South Salt Lake City, UT 84106. A 5% Bid Security will be required. For further information or questions, contact the Project Manager, Steve Niederhauser at sniederhauser@sslc.gov NOTICE TO ALL PROSPECTIVE CONTRACTORS This project will be a FEDERALLY FUNDED COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) PROJECT. All rules and regulations governing such projects will be applicable. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder, whose bid meets the requirements and criteria set forth in the request for bids. Requirements for prevailing wage rates and certified payrolls apply as it is subject to the Davis-Bacon Act. Salt Lake County HCD policy requires direct email solicitation of at least six Section 3 (low-income) and at least six Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) such as Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) and Women Own Business (WBE). All solicitations, including those done through the State's procurement website, U3P, will be documented in the files. As noted above, Section 3 solicitations are required by HCD policy even if the project is not subject to Section 3. All Prime contractors participating in this project must have a Unique Entity ID (UEI) number and be registered on the federal System for Award Management (SAM) at sam.gov. Prime contractors must also verify on sam.gov and maintain documentation that all subcontractors on this project have not been debarred by the federal government. Question Submission Close Date RFI's due by April 7th at 4:00 PM, Response to RFI's will be issued by April 13th. The work to be performed consists of furnishing and installing the equipment, facilities, services, and appurtenances thereto as included in the Contract Documents. The Work generally includes, but is not limited to, REMOVAL OF EXISTING WALLS, FLOORS, AND ASSOCIATED FINISHES AND CONSTRUCTING NEW WALLS, ADA RAMPS, AND VARIOUS OTHER FINISHES.
