Description

Well 1 pump is 45 years old and has significant vibrations. These vibrations are believed to be caused by very worn bearings in the pump. Well #2 is currently a backup to the primary well#1 for the Walla Walla VA Medical Center (WWVAMC). The well has not been used frequently in the last couple years. 1982 was the last documented work performed on Well 2 Both wellhouses have pillars surrounding the buildings spaced five feet apart and 5 feet away from the building (see attached drawings for more details). Both wellhouses have the capacity for part of the roofs to be removed in order to access the wells. The WWVAMC will have performed all prep work on the roofs to be hoisted off the structure. Replace the current pump, motor, sensors, downpipe and appurtenances with a modern system. Replace old check valve and remove unused flow meter. The following are both well specifications: 1. Pump Specifications: ~500gpm at 70% +/- 10% efficiency 2. 6" metal downpipe 3. Elevated water tower ~160' above ground.
