Contractors are to meet at the FEAD office, Building 87, MCAS Cherry Point This will be the ONLY Government Scheduled Site Visit for this Project. Bond Requirements: Bid bonds are required in accordance with FAR 28-101-4. An electronic copy of your bid bond must be submitted with your proposal. An electronic copy of your bid bond will be requested from the apparent low upon confirmation of their price and must be submitted to the FEAD office within one (1) week from time of request. Failure to submit an electronic copy of your bid bond with your proposal will result in your proposal being deemed nonresponsive and your proposal removed from consideration. In accordance with FAR Clause 52.228-15 Performance and Payment Bonds--Construction and FAR Clause 52.228-13 Alternate Payment Protections, Payment and/or performance bond(s) will be requested at the time of award. All contractors must meet at building 87 at 0730 and must be on time. An email needs to be submitted to Ericka Bishop and Joshua Farley NLT 27 February 2023 listing the first and last name of the personnel that will be attending the site visit. Dress for the weather, we will be going on a boat to access BT-9. Wear shoes that are appropriate for climbing. The drive to Thorofare bridge is approximately 1.5 hours from here. The boat ride maybe an hour long. Please plan on this site visit taking several hours. If the winds are much more than 15-20 knots, we will need to reschedule as it will be too rough to safely tie off on the towers and get on and off the boat at BT-9. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
