Description | The Canaveral Port Authority is seeking proposals from qualified marine contractors to construct a berth at North Cargo Berth 4, Port Canaveral Florida. The Work is generally described as follows: At North Cargo Berth 4, demolish the existing open pile pier and adjacent steel sheet pile wall system. Construct a new approximately 982 foot long deep combi-wall bulkhead berth with a prestressed concrete pile supported reinforced concrete relieving platform landside of the new berth wall. Project generally includes, cell fenders, bollards, shoreside mooring dolphins, earthwork and paving, stormwater conveyance system, potable water and force main wastewater utilities, high mast lighting system, fencing, and approximately 71,500 cubic yards of dredging with offshore disposal. The Request for Proposal (RFP) is a two step process. Step 1 is a Qualifications and ShortListing Proposal process, and Step 2 is a Price Proposal process. Participation in Step 2 will be limited to Step 1 Proposers who were successfully short-listed. In accordance with 49 C.F.R. Part 26, as amended Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit proposals in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award. Qualified small and minority businesses and women's business enterprises are encouraged to submit proposals. The Owner reserves the right to reject all proposals with or without cause, to waive technical errors and informalities, and to accept the proposal that best serves the Owner. |
