Description | The project involves the construction of one (1) Deep Injection Well (DIW) single zone monitoring well to an estimated total depth of 1,871 feet below land surface (bls). The final monitor casing string will consist of 5.5 inch fiberglass reinforced pipe (FRP) for MW-1R. Work includes mud rotary and reverse-air drilling, setting of steel and FRP casings, grouting, flow testing, construction and finished wellhead assemblies, electrical and instrumentation and controls for continuous monitoring of flow and water pressure, acidizing (if necessary), geophysical logging, constant rate pump testing, laboratory water quality analyses and well disinfection. Construction includes installation of conveyance piping from newly installed monitoring well MW-1R to existing discharge location, including all excavation, concrete work, and furnishing and installing of piping. The groundwater is conveyed from the existing discharge location through an existing piping network to the deep injection wells. |
