RFP - 2023 Continued Main Street Beautification

The City of Fernley, Nevada is soliciting proposals from consultant/professional firms for assistance in the following: Project Description The City will contract with a landscape design firm to create an initial overall concept plan, identify, and develop individual site plans, and final design. The selected firm will coordinate the purchase and installation of the streetscape elements including the following: benches, bicycle racks, trash receptacles, above ground planters, shade structures, and metal banner artwork. The City was awarded a $100,000 grant for this project through the Community Development Block Grant Program. Completion Date The required completion dates are set according to the "Tasks" listed below, based on the grant agreement, with a final completion date expected of December 1, 2023. The City may award extensions for tasks upon written request from the selected firm. The City anticipates the following general timeline for its selection process. The City reserves the right to change this schedule: The following is a preliminary scope of work that may be modified during contract negotiations with the selected consultant. The preliminary scope of work is intended to outline and describe the range of tasks anticipated for the project but is not intended to be complete. The scope of work will include contracting with a landscape architect/planner to coordinate the purchase and installation of streetscape elements including the following: benches, bicycle racks, trash receptacles, above ground planters, shade structures, and metal banner artwork. These streetscape elements have already been identified in the Phase 1 Downtown Corridor Revitalization Plan as guidelines were selected by the public for desired landscaping and street furniture. The project area is located on east Main Street, and is a four-block area, beginning at Silver Lace Blvd. ending at Farm District Road. The total distance is approximately 0.7 miles.
