Benson Bayou Regional Conveyance & Mitigation Pond - DR2006 - City of League City

This project will provide critical detention improvements along advantageous open tracts of land within the watershed; coupled with grade adjustments to the existing bayou in efforts to reduce water surface elevations to benefit the area while ensuring no adverse impact to downstream neighbors. Project will incorporate current drainage and stormwater design standards. Design began in FY2020; During preliminary feasibility additional analysis is required to develop a successful project. Schedule and scope will need to be further defined prior to moving forward to final design. This project will be prioritized with other GO Bond projects and an alternative funding source developed if the estimated cost exceeds the authorization of the PROP A budget to get the best cost/benefit ratio for the project. This project is in included in the City's or County's FY 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of September 30, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
