Description | The Freeport Park District will accept proposals for the Winter Park Playground Poured-in-Place rubber surface installation. The Board of Park Commissioners reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any or all bids. In Winter Park, provide and install a specified two-layer, unitary poured-in-place rubber playground surface. Within a 6" barrier curb, the park district will provide and install an aggregate base according to contractor specification Dimensions o See drawing on page 7 o Winter Park Playground area requiring P-n-P surfacing is approximately 2865 square feet. The 825 square foot area under swings has a critical fall height of 8 feet. The 850 square foot area under a modular play structure has a fall height of 6 feet. o Wear course minimum is 1/2 " thick. Materials o Cushion Course: SBR rubber o Wear Course: EPDM o Color: Brown. Color/Blend: Wear course color selected from standard EPDM colors. o Premium grade aromatic polyurethane binder. INSTALLATION o All work shall be done in a professional manner by skilled workers and an experienced crew lead person specifically trained in the installation of poured-in-place playground surfacing. o Installation shall be done in accordance with all manufacturer's instructions and warranty limitations. o Employee vehicles not necessary to the project are to remain in the parking lor or nearest on-street parking space for vehicle parking. STANDARDS o Materials and installation to meet all current applicable ASTM and CPSC standards. o Include in submittal specifications for the proposed Materials and Installation for this project including primer, binder, adhesives, cushion layer material and wear layer materials. CLEAN UP o The contractor is responsible for protecting all property adjacent to the work from unnecessary wear and damage. o Contractor is responsible for all waste materials, empty containers and other debris and shall dispose of same off site |
