Description | The work in general consists of the relocation of buried wastes currently located within Phase I to the lined Phase II waste management unit of the AADS, including mass excavation and hauling of approximately 1,500,000 cubic yards of waste and soil, decommissioning 10 groundwater monitoring wells, construction of a new paved access road, removal and disposal of existing landfill gas extraction wells and laterals, traffic control, construction of surface water management features, placement of 2-foot-thick intermediate cover, installation and maintenance of stormwater best practices, and erosion control measures including hydroseeding of slopes.
