Description | Demolition of the existing drop ceiling grid and lighting system located in the Multipurpose room. Demolition of the existing through wall A/C units in the classrooms, Principal's office, Assistant Principal's office, Main office, and Nurse's office as detailed in the contract documents. a. Repair spandrel panels damaged after removing existing through wall A/C units. Demolition of the existing Air Handler Unit in the multipurpose room, exhaust fan on the roof of the multipurpose room, and all associated accessories as detailed in the contract documents. a. All roof patch work shall be in accordance with manufacturers requirements to maintain the rooftop warranty. Demolition of the existing fan coil ductwork, roof mounted condensing units, and associated accessories in the media center as detailed in the contract documents. a. Demolition of the existing exhaust fans located on the roof above the maintenance office service the media center. a. All roof patch work shall be in accordance with manufacturers requirements to maintain the rooftop warranty. Installation of multi-purpose room outdoor condensing unit, indoor air handler and associated accessories. a. In the base design, the existing multi-purpose room ductwork shall be tied into the new ductwork. b. As an alternative, the roof top unit installed above the multi-purpose room may be fed from the existing gas service in place of the hydronic coil. Refer to drawings M-101A and M-501A for details on the alternate design. c. All roof patch work shall be in accordance with manufacturers requirements to maintain the rooftop warranty. Installation of A/C System, with roof mounted condensing unit and all associated accessories, to be installed above the maintenance office serving the media center. Installation of 13 new rooftop condensing units and all associated accessories as shown on the contract documents. Installation of new mini split units and outdoor air equipment to be installed at the principal's office, assistant's principal's office main office and nurse's office. Question Deadline 12/16/2022 Installation of new HVAC load center in boiler room. A new circuit breaker will be required to be installed in the main electrical panelboard located in the basement. Installation of upgraded filters on all existing unit ventilators. F. Type of Contract: Single Prime. Bidder names and proposal values will be posted to the online document portal. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 10 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Online Procurement and Contracting Documents: Obtain access after December 1st, by contacting the Engineer. Online access will be provided to all registered bidders and suppliers. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. Work is subject to liquidated damages. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. B. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. |
