Description

The Work under this Contract provides Mechanical Trades, Test and Balancing (TAB), and controls electrician and programming support (direct digital and. PLB interface) to remove, relocate and install mechanical systems piping, fittings, supports, insulation, controls (and raceways), telescoping air ducts (TAD's), flex hosing, and various other accessories for Pre-Conditioned Air (PC Air) systems servicing parked aircraft at the PLB s. Additional minor work to relocate potable water cabinets may be required, too. Some of the materials for installation, such as air handling units, TAD's, flex hoses, and other accessories will be provided as owner-furnished. Within 72 hours (3 business days) of receiving written request from the Port of Seattle, the Contractor shall furnish all cost estimates, which shall contain estimates for labor, tools, equipment, materi als, and incidentals necessary to perform work as required by the Work Authorization (WA). Segments of work will be timecritical, as activities will need to dovetail with other construction activities installing new or refurbished PLB's at various gates and airline schedules so that gate closures and disruptions to aircraft operations are minimized. In order to satisfy the demand of the anticipated contract workload, the Contractor is required to have an appropriate and reasonable number of badged employees, within the trade, of who two (2) or more must be Air Operations Area (AOA) qualified drivers. Contractor shall be capable of providing a combination of two (2) or more employees within a continuous 24-hour period working over day or night (swing or graveyard) shifts in multiple stocked service vehicles capable of responding to more than one location on the same day and for consecutive working days. The Contractor may be asked to provide an Excel spreadsheet showing a two-week workload projection associated with executed Work Authorizations on a regular basis. It is anticipated that the Contractor will be issued multiple contractor Work Authorizations against this Contract, however, the Port of Seattle does not guarantee any minimum amount of work associated with this Contract or that the combined value of any contractor Work Authorizations issued under this Contract will exactly total the Contract amount. The initial term ofthis Contract is two (2) years, with an option on the part of the Port to extend for an additional year. The Engineer's estimate range for this project is $700,090 - $800,000. The WMBE utilization goal is 10% for this contract..
