Description | Providing Construction Manager at Risk services for Diablo Stadium Improvements. Stage 1 of the multi-stage renovation Project for the Facility. At this point, Stage 1 is expected to include: 1. Construction of a three (3) story addition to the third base side of the Stadium to include: A two (2) story Major League Clubhouse (the parties will work jointly towards completion prior to beginning to 2022 Cactus League Spring Training season). 2. Infrastructure improvements to the seating bowl, concourse and field areas. The selected CMAR will enter into a contract to provide design phase (pre-construction) services during the design of the project and may serve as the general contractor during the construction of the project. CMAR requirements will begin with the firm providing an agency support role for the design phase (pre-construction) services and will culminate in the preparation of a GMP proposal for construction services including the solicitation of bids from pre-qualified subcontractors to perform the work. The CMAR may also compete to self-perform portions of the work. If accepted by the City and Angels, the CMAR will assume the risk of delivering the project through the GMP contract for construction and will be responsible for construction means and methods. Design Phase (pre-construction) Services by the CMAR may include: 1. Provide detailed independent cost estimating and knowledge of market conditions; 2. Provide project planning and scheduling; 3. Provide alternate systems evaluation and constructability studies; 4. Advise the City of ways to gain efficiency in project delivery; 5. Provide long-lead procurement studies and possibly initiate procurement of long-lead items; 6. Assist in the permitting process; 7. Protect the City’s sensitivity to quality, safety, and environmental factors; and 8. Prepare a guaranteed maximum price (GMP) proposal for construction of Stage 1 of the Project. |
