Description Purchasing and installation of 2 new 5 Ton HVAC Units located at St John’s Elementary Kitchen, 140 Park St, Darlington SC 29532. Existing units are Carrier heat pump model# 50HJQ006---501serial#3998G20221 and Carrier heat pump model# 50HJQ006---501serial# 3998G0219 The voltage is 208/230 volt 3 phase 60 hz. The new units are to be Carrier, Trane, or equivalent heat pumps with 10kw strip heat. The new units are to have hail guards installed and included in the bid. Fire alarm system is to be taken offline before disconnecting old unit and put back on line after completion of installation. Existing thermostats will be used because of control system. If existing thermostat is not compatible with new system, district will provide new thermostats. Safety precautions must be taken to protect students, staff, and employees. Any holes or penetrations created by or exposed by the installation of these heat pumps are to be sealed to the fire rating of the walls where these exist. Disconnects may be reused if they are in good serviceable condition. All exterior duct work to be covered with a rain cover or hood. Existing units will be kept by Darlington county schools and are to be placed outside of building in a location that will be indicated by district staff for pick up by the district. All parts, supplies, lifts, cranes, etc that are to be furnished by the contractor and are to be included in the bid. All debris created by this job is to be cleaned up and removed by the contractor.
