Description

Project Locations: Pearl-Ionia Parking Structure 28 Pearl St. Grand Rapids, MI 49503 Louis-Campau Parking Structure 43 Monroe Ave. Grand Rapids, MI 49503 Questions shall be submitted by June 30. Submit questions in writing to Dustin Kuzee at dkuzee@grcity.us and Dan Elliott at delliott@restoreces.com To furnish all parts, labor, materials, supplies, equipment and other facilities and things necessary and proper for and incidental to the proper performance. This work consists of bringing current stair railings at Louis Campau & Pearl Ionia Ramps up to current building codes. Bids will be on the basis of unit prices as listed on the Bid Form, and must be submitted using the e-bidding system. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents shall be submitted to the Engineer in writing. Replies will be issued by Addenda, mailed, faxed, electronically or otherwise delivered to all parties, recorded by the City as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than 5 business days prior to the date for opening of Bids will not be answered. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. THE UNDERSIGNED, AS BIDDER, AGREES to furnish sureties, insurance and all necessary information, forms and documents acceptable to the City in accordance with and within the time frame outlined in the Information for Bidders and to enter into a contract within the time frames as required in the Information for Bidders and Special Provisions as applicable, and upon failure or refusal to do so agrees to forfeit the Bid Security herewith enclosed to the City as liquidated damages and not as a penalty. Substantial Completion Date: December 20, 2022 Final Completion Date: February 3, 2023 The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all Bids; to reject the Bid of a Bidder who is not, in the opinion of the Engineer or City, in a position to perform the contract; to waive informalities, irregularities and technicalities; to reject any and all non-conforming, non-responsive, unbalanced [unreasonable unit price(s)] or conditional Bids; or to advertise for new Bids. The City also reserves the right to award the Contract in the City's best interest, and therefore, may select a Bidder other than the lowest. The Owner reserves the right to reject all Alternates or accept any Alternate in order of combination and to determine the low bidder based on the sum of the Base Bid and the Alternates accepted.
