Description

1) Disassembly of existing boilers. Contractor shall turn over roughly 24 sections of the existing boiler to the owner. See salvage requirements for complete list of owner salvage. 2) Demolition and removal of boilers, pumps, and accessories. 3) Demolition and removal of selective hydronic piping, and accessories. 4) Demolition and removal of oil piping to boilers and capping oil lines as indicated on plans (existing generator utilizes oil, to remain in service). 5) Demolition and removal of domestic hot water heaters, storage tank, and selective demolition of domestic hot water piping. 6) Cutting, patching, removing louvers, and coordination with owner’s requirements. b. New installation; 1) Installation of four (4) new natural gas, condensing boilers, pumps, VFDs, hydronic piping, venting, and accessories. 2) Installation of two (2) new natural gas, condensing domestic hot water heaters, two (2) domestic storage tanks, domestic water pumps, accessories, and domestic water piping. 3) Replace existing dewatering pump and tie into storm line at ceiling. 4) Replace existing sewage ejector pump, floats, and integrate with existing controls. 5) Provide controls integration with existing Johnson Controls – Metasys BMS. 6) Provide integration with building alarm system for leak detection, gas detection, phase monitoring, and associated security alarms. c. Startup and owner training 1) Provide manufacturer startup for all equipment. 2) Provide one (1) day of owner training with the manufacturer. d. Water treatment 1) Clean and flush existing piping system (Rippowam and connected hydronic loop to AITE). 2) Provide chemical treatment for Contractor shall carry the cost of chemical flush for new boilers.
