RFQ - IL 83 (127th) at Cal Sag Channel, Phase III Project

Job No. C-91-262-19, IL 83 (127th) at Cal Sag Channel, Phase III Project, Cook County, Region One/District One. This project may contain Federal Funds. This project requires 25% DBE participation, or if the contract goal is not met, documented evidence of good faith efforts. The Complexity Factor for this project is 0. The Consultant who is selected for this project and all Subconsultants the Prime Consultant will be using are scheduled to attend an initial meeting on August 4, 2022, at 10:30 AM at the Region One/District One Office in Schaumburg. Phase III engineering is required to provide construction inspection services for the above subject improvement. Work includes, but is not limited to, the replacement of the existing bridge deck, repairing the steel superstructure, cleaning, and painting the steel superstructure, and repairing the substructure. The deck of the bridge will be widened so that the multi-use trail on the south side of the bridge can be widened from 4'-11" to 7'-0". Roadway improvements include replacing the approach pavement, median, multi-use path, guardrail, and guardrail terminals. There are two light poles on the north side of Illinois Route 83 owned by the Village that will need to be relocated to provide adequate deflection behind guardrail, as well as all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the project as shown on the plans and as described herein. The following structure may be in this project, S.N. 016-0570: Existing IL 83 (127th Street) over Cal Sag Channel. The anticipated construction completion date is August 31, 2024. The Consultant must complete and submit final measurements, calculations, and final contract records documents to the department no later than six (6) weeks after the completion of the project. The Prime firm must be prequalified in the Special Services (Construction Inspection) category to be considered for this project. Statements of Interest, including resumes of the key people noted above, must be submitted electronically to the Central Bureau of Design and Environment through the Engineering Prequalification and Agreement System (EPAS). The firm acting as the prime must be prequalified in all the prequalification categories requested in the project advertisement even if they plan to subcontract part of the project, except where noted in a specific project advertisement. Any work being done by a consultant, prime or sub must be prequalified in the IDOT prequalification category of work they are performing.
