Description | As of 11/29/2022 As noted in the Addendum No. 2, the Bid submission date to has been extended to a Date To Be Determined (TBD). A future addendum will be issued indicated the revised Bid submission date. The Project is being bid and the resulting Contract is subject to the laws of the State of Maine (Revised Statutes Annotated). The Project includes the following Work: Project includes removal and replacement of existing Walnut Street sewer manholes and sewer pipe; and all materials and equipment, services and construction inherent to the Work. The Work shall be substantially complete within 60 calendar days from the commencement of Contract Time and completed and ready for final payment within 75 calendar days from the commencement of Contract Time. The resulting Contract for the Project is specifically subject to the laws of the State of Maine (Revised Statutes Annotated). This Contract is expected to be funded in whole or in part by the State of Maine Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Clean Water State Revolving Loan Fund (CWSRF) program. Neither the State of Maine nor any of its departments, agencies, or employees is or will be a party to the Contract. The word "Agency" or "agency" in the Contract Documents refers to the DEP and all other involved funding agencies. Bidders shall comply with the State and Federal COVID-19 guidelines and procedures for the construction sector (as may be amended). Bids are requested for the following Contract: Town of Old Orchard Beach, ME - Walnut Street Collection System Upgrades Owner anticipates that the Project's total bid price will be approximately $1,400,000. The Project has an expected duration of 75 days. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of 5% of Bidder's maximum bid price and in the form of a certified check or Bid bond issued by surety meeting the requirements of the General Conditions. No Bid may be withdrawn for at least 60 days after receipt of bids unless released by the Owner. The goals for this Project are a minimum of 0.64% certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and a minimum of 1.64% certified Womens Business Enterprise (WBE) participation. Lists of certified businesses may be found on the following internet websites: EPA Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), State of Maine Department of Transportation (DOT), and the United States Small Business Administration (SBA) Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing.
