Description | The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, supervision, and other items and services necessary to remove the old Sand Filters and replace with (recommended) two Regenerative Media Filtration units with BECSys (digital) controls or a filtration system capable of filtering within the 1 to 5 micron range for 430,000 gallon facility the 352D SWTS, Pope Field, NC, 28308. SCOPE OF WORK: The following scope of work shall serve as general information only and shall not limit the contractor’s responsibility or obligations to perform all tasks(s) within local, state and federal laws as well as manufacturer’s recommendations. It was determined during a maintenance visit that the existing Sand Filters are not functioning as they should and leaking sand, interfering with and causing corrosion and wear to all the aquatic systems. Contractor will replace the two existing sand filtration systems with a new automated, filtration system capable of filtering within the 1 to 5 micron range. All quantities in this statement of work shall be verified by the contractor at the site visit. The contractor shall perform work inside the facility as required. Samples of new equipment, materials and accessories and a concept design for pipes and valves shall be submitted to a government representative for approval. The Aquatic Training Facility will be shut off- scheduling will be in conjunction facility manager. The existing sand filters will be disconnected, dismantled, removed and disposed of. All new plumbing, valves, gaskets, and controls will be installed per manufacturer recommendations and two new filtration systems will be installed. The Aquatic Training Facility will be turned back on. The system will be checked for leaks and effective operation. All work and materials will be warrantied for a 12 month period. Units installed must require minimum maintenance and occupy minimal space. |
