Description | Improve its HVAC systems efficiency, occupant comfort, and indoor air quality. Through the adoption of an Ultraviolet-C (UVC) treatment systems, the City will benefit from microbial disinfection of air handler interior surfaces, particularly cooling coils, to prevent biological growth from becoming established. Controlling the proliferation of microorganisms in HVAC systems is essential for optimal coil heat transfer, lower pressure drop across the coil, and reduced air handler speed which all contribute to long-term energy savings and reduced HVAC system maintenance costs. This project will include the installation of UVC germicidal air handler treatment systems for twenty-five (25) air handling units and two (2) mini-split units located in various City buildings. Currently, these building do not utilize UVC treatment systems and this will be a complete up fit. All UVC systems shall be provided by a single manufacturer. Fresh-Aire UV is the basis of design. A. Be a state of Florida Certified General Contractor, Florida Certified Building Contractor, or Florida Certified Mechanical Contractor. B. Furnish and install ultraviolet-C germicidal air handler treatment systems on twenty-five (25) air handler units and two (2) mini-split systems as listed on Form 7.2 Bid Form; and, C. Obtain and pay for all building permits, if required; and, D. Install new warning/caution stickers on each access panel; and, E. Electrical power for each treatment system will come from the unit; and, F. Complete project within 10 days of receiving written Notice to Proceed. G. Contractor MUST knowledge by signature and submit Exhibit “B” Federal Contract Provisions. |
