For Construction Manager/General Contractor Construction Services For Sheriff Reservoir Dam Rehabilitation NOTICE IS HERBY GIVEN that the Town of Oak Creek is seeking Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) construction services proposals from qualified construction contractors for the Rehabilitation of Sheriff Reservoir Dam. The Town of Oak Creek Towns and operates Sheriff Reservoir Dam, located approximately 12 miles southwest of the Town. Several dam safety issues require that the Town replace the existing 68-year-old outlet works gate, construct a new spillway at the dam, and perform associated earthwork at the dam. The Town has purchased the new 36-inch-diameter, outlet works gate and appurtenances, and has obtained approval from the Colorado State Engineer, Dam Safety Branch to replace the outlet works gate. Conventional construction bids received for the outlet works gate replacement in 2022 were well in excess of the Town s available funds for the project. The Town has since obtained additional funds for the outlet works gate replacement project and needs to have this work completed in the fall of 2023. The Town is also completing a design for the new spillway and associated earthwork required for the dam. The spillway construction work is tentatively scheduled for construction in the summer and fall of 2024. The Town is seeking a CM/GC partner that can work with the Town and their engineer, W. W. Wheeler & Associates, Inc. (Wheeler), to work through value engineering ideas and develop a Guaranteed Maximum Price to replace the outlet works gate in 2023 and to construct the spillway replacement and associated earthwork in 2024.
