Construction Management Services for Christiansburg High School Additions/Renovations

Construction management Firms to participate in a team as part of this construction manager at risk contract with the goal of providing an innovative, energy efficient, high-quality and quick-paced new high school campus at the Christiansburg High School in alignment with VDOE ' s most current capacity and space standards. The failing conditions of the existing Christiansburg High School campus, significant overcrowding and educational inadequacy of the building have led MCPS to the decision to replace the school. At the completion of this effort. MCPS expects a new school facility with a modernized earning environment incorporating universal design and accessibility features for approximately 1600 high school age students, grades 9 through 12. The existing school will remain operational throughout the construction of the new building. Student and staff safety will therefore be a top priority during the construction and maintaining convenient operations for the school will be a consideration during design reviews. The successful Offeror should have proven experience working in close collaboration with architect and engineer teams at early phases in the design that resulted in responsive phasing and coordination in a dense residential and urban setting and where the construction of the school projects were on time, or early, and on budget.
