Description | Dakota County is seeking bids from qualified contractors to replace the roof at the Inver Glen Library in Inver Grove Heights and the Heritage Library in Lakeville. The deadline for bidder questions is February 14, 2023 at noon. Project Locations: Heritage Library and License Center 2085 Heritage Dr. Lakeville, MN. Inver Glen Library 8099 Blaine Ave. Inver Grove Heights, MN. The estimated construction cost is approximately $815,000. This project seeks to replace the original roofing sections at two of the County's newest branch library locations. The base bid scope will replace the original 1999 roof sections of the Heritage (LLC) library in Lakeville and an add alternate will seek to replace the original 2000 roof sections of Inver Glen Library (ILC) in Inver Grove Heights. Both are currently ballasted EPDM roofs which'll be converted to mechanically fastened and adhered 60-mil EPDM roofs. Roof drain replacements and other ancillary work are included within the scope of this roof replacement project. Bids must be submitted only on the bid form supplied in this RFB document. No oral, telegraphic or telephonic bids or modifications will be considered. Submit with each bid a certified check or acceptable bidder's bond payable to Dakota County in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total base bid. The successful bidder is required to furnish satisfactory Labor and Material Payment Bond and Performance Bond equal to 100% of the total contract amount. Bids may not be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after the opening bids. It is anticipated that the Dakota County Board of Commissioners will consider award of the project on March 21, 2023 at its regular meeting, and reserves the right to accept any bid or to reject any or all bids, or parts of such bids, and waive informalities or irregularities in bidding.
