Field Cutting/Brush Hogging at Greenville County Solid Waste Facilities

Mow all vegetated areas as shown on the attached site maps. Vegetation may include assorted grasses along with small saplings (<4” diameter). Ground may be uneven and soil may include rocks or other debris. Some steep slopes (2:1) are to be expected. 1. Hand trimming will be necessary around monitoring wells and other protruding pipes. Some swales contain gabion baskets and large rip-rap. Herbicide may not be used in lieu of trimming. 2. Mowing will be performed twice per year for all sites (spring and fall). Additional mowing may be necessary as requested by Greenville County. 3. Any damage to monitoring wells or other permanent structures will be repaired at the contractor’s expense. The locations are as follows: 1. Blackberry Valley Landfill, 413 Blackberry Valley Rd, Greenville, 29617. 2. Piedmont Landfill, 170 Owens Rd., Piedmont, 29673. 3. Enoree Landfill, 1311 Anderson Ridge Rd., Greer, 29650. 4. Twin Chimneys Landfill, 11075 Augusta Rd., Honea Path, 29654.
