Sodium Chlorite

The City does not warrant any specific amount of product but agrees to purchase its annual volume of 25% sodium chlorite solution suitable for the City of Longview Water Purification Plant use in its water treatment processes and provide a service contract from the successful bidder. The successful bidder shall provide and install four (4) chlorine dioxide generator systems with the capability of producing up to 300 PPD. The installation shall include replacing the chlorine and chlorite rotameter assemblies, the centrifugal water booster pump, educator and ejector assembly, related valves, piping and other appurtenances with new, unused components. The bidder will also maintain and ensure operating efficiency and safety of the chlorine dioxide generators and their related components. The generator systems shall be installed at two of the City of Longviews Water Purification Plants; two (2) at the Cherokee Water Treatment Plant at 3512 Martin Luther King Blvd., Longview, Texas, and two (2) at the Sabine River Water Treatment Plant at 1400 Swinging Bridge Road, Longview, Texas. City of Longview, Texas (City) reserves the right to reject any or all bids for any or all goods and services covered in this bid request and to waive informalities or defects in bids or to accept such bids as it deems in the best interests of the City of Longview.
