Description

The Village of Oak Park is requesting bids for the purchase of approximately four portable speed radar signs that shall be able to collect speed and traffic data and which shall have the ability to transmit and have the traffic data stored on the vendor's software system, spare batteries for the speed radar signs, and pricing for any required software and annual licensing required. When submitting a bid include the attached bid form, product data, and a sample of the report or data output file. The portable speed radar signs shall, at a minimum, meet the following requirements: o Panel shall have a 12" minimum display height o Assembly shall be able to collect data while display is off. o Assembly shall be capable of being removed and installed multiple times on standard light poles or sign posts. Any specialized tools for installation/removal shall be included in the assembly cost. o Assembly shall include solar panels capable of powering the unit independent of the battery during normal weather conditions o Battery pack shall be capable of powering the unit no less than 5 days without solar input. o Battery charger shall be compatible with standard 120-volt outlet capable of fully charging the unit within 24 hours. o Assembly shall utilize cellular wireless data transfer or similar remote options. o Data shall be stored in vendor managed cloud storage. o Minimum 1-year warranty on all assembly components The Engineering Division periodically requests bids for items purchased throughout the year. Vendors are asked to submit a bid on the following items and that the prices are good for the calendar year of 2022. Bidders must submit their bid on the form included in this Request for Bids. Upon formal award to the successful Bidder, a Purchase Order will be issued to secure this purchase and the Bidder will enter into an agreement with the Village. 2 The Village of Oak Park as a municipality pays neither Federal Excise Tax nor Illinois Retailers Occupational Tax, and therefore these taxes should be excluded from quotations. The bid will be awarded in whole or in part to the responsible Bidder or Bidders whose bids, conforming to the request for bids, will be most advantageous to the Village; price and other factors considered. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids or to waivetechnicalities, or to accept any item of any bid.
